The five-piece band were formed in 2008 in Dunedin when the founding members were all attending the University of Otago.

The inspiration for the band’s name actually comes from the house number they all lived at during this time; 660 Castle Street. After gaining a huge following in Dunedin, Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington the group has become well-known across several countries for its iconic composite sound and song-writing skills which is borne of all the many influences both musical and personal - each member brings with them.

One of their most well-known singles Don’t Forget Your Roots has gone four times platinum and scooped the prestigious title of single of the year at the New Zealand Music Awards. They are signed to their own label Massive Entertainment and Epic and were New Zealand's most downloaded local talent on Spotify in 2019.
