David Parker, New Zealand’s Minister for Trade and Export Growth, has made a visit to Expo 2020 Dubai.
Minister Parker was taken on a tour of the Expo 2020 site and saw the construction of New Zealand’s pavilion. Minister Parker was able to see the clear progress of the pavilion as well the United Arab Emirates’ plan and vision to host the world’s greatest show.
Minster Parker also met with the Minister responsible for Expo 2020 and International Cooperation, HE Reem Al Hashimi. The pair discussed a range of issues including the impressive pace of construction at the Expo 2020 site and collaboration between the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand.
While on site, Minister Parker spoke with our construction partners Cimolai Rimond Middle East (CRME) who updated him on the pavilion build, which is progressing on schedule.
Minister Parker was also a guest on Dubai Eye’s The Business Breakfast radio show with New Zealander and Dubai resident Brandy Scott. While on air, they discussed the importance of the UAE in the region as a hub for trade and exports, New Zealand’s participation at Expo 2020 and global trade.
Expo 2020 will commence in October 2020 and will run for six months under the theme of Connecting Minds, Creating the Future, and will see 192 countries celebrating culture, showcasing technology and sharing their latest innovations.
