Songwriter, musician, producer, and actress Kimbra was born in Hamilton, New Zealand and has been pushing creative boundaries since her first big performance when she was just 10.
With three studio albums under her belt, the 4th on its way, and a host of film and TV appearances, Kimbra continues to surprise fans and offer a diverse range of performances. She cited in an interview with American Songwriter, Daniel Johns, Prince, Rufus Wainwright, Guided by Voices, Imogen Heap, Mike Patton, Michael Jackson, Minnie Riperton and Stevie Wonder as her musical influences.
She remains only one of three New Zealanders to win a Grammy after Kimbra and Gotye won the Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance awards at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards Show for "Somebody That I Used to Know”. In late 2021 Kimbra will begin the release of her fourth record that will further solidify her as one of today's most unpredictable and genre-defying mavericks.
