Take advantage of the size, scale and location of Expo 2020 Dubai and use the New Zealand Pavilion hosting venues to further your business outcomes.

New Zealand’s Pavilion for Expo 2020 Dubai features two distinct areas - an interactive exhibition that is curated around our theme ‘Care for People and Place’ and our hosting venues: The Cooperative Room, The Courtyard and our restaurant, Tiaki.

Our stylish, contemporary and flexible hosting venues are intended to serve as your ideal business platform at Expo 2020 Dubai and are supported by our partner, Emirates Flight Catering, part of the Emirates Group.

Catering packages for events hosted within the New Zealand Pavilion will be provided by Emirates Flight Catering with menu options featuring premium quality New Zealand food and wine, beer and spirits as well as non-alcoholic beverages.

Guests to your event will be greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable VIP hosts and welcomed into our distinctly New Zealand venues, which also showcase the best of our furniture, art and design.

The pavilion can be used for:

  • Hosting clients for meetings, lunches or private dinners

  • Cocktail receptions

  • Product launches or demonstrations

  • Food and beverage sampling in the test kitchen

  • Multimedia presentations or seminars

  • Marketing activations and pop-ups

The Co-operative Room

The Co-operative Room by Fonterra is the signature hosting venue within the Pavilion.

This distinctly New Zealand environment is furnished by leading New Zealand designers and acts as a flexible, private function area that can be used for formal receptions, private dinners or theatre-style presentations. It’s a private space that includes a big LED screen and equipped with a camera for digital events.


The venue is a flexible function area and can be used for formal receptions, private dinners or theatre-style presentations.

The Co-operative Room can be booked on its own or in conjunction with The Courtyard. Glass walls serve as dividers between the two spaces.

The Courtyard

The Courtyard is an inviting, light-filled space that connects The Co-operative Room to the restaurant.

Furnished with comfortable, relaxed seating, a demonstration kitchen and a large bar, The Courtyard is the perfect location for a tasting, an informal meeting or a cocktail event.


You will have the option to play your own curated background music through our integrated speaker system. When booked on its own, The Courtyard does not include audio - visual equipment.

The Courtyard can be booked on its own for a private event or in conjunction with The Co-operative Room. Glass walls serve as dividers between the two spaces.

Hosting Venue Details

What is the capacity for the New Zealand Pavilion’s hosting venues?

The capacity for each hosting venue will be finalised when Covid-19 requirements are confirmed by the Expo 2020 Organiser and Dubai Municipality in approximately August/September 2021. The highlighted sections below represent current capacities and are subject to change. When you are ready to book our hosting venues, please refer back to this table which will be updated as guidelines change.

Please note:

Standard AV inclusions for The Co-operative Room (with or without The Courtyard): Lectern, small portable stage riser, screen and projector, microphone (handheld and lapel) and speakers. Additional equipment can be booked in advance for an extra cost.

Standard AV inclusions for The Courtyard: No standard AV included (possibility to play background music through our integrated speaker system).

Demonstration kitchen: includes a four-burner induction cooktop, combi-oven, preparation bench and refrigeration space.

Booking Process

The Co-operative Room and The Courtyard can be booked for sessions during the day or evening.

Reservation times:

Morning Session:

2 hours – 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m

Afternoon Session:

3 hours – 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m

Evening Session:

4 hours – 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m

Enquiries will be reviewed by the New Zealand at Expo 2020 team. We may ask you for additional information or alternative dates.

Once provisionally approved, you will be connected to Emirates Flight Catering and an Event Coordinator will help you plan your event, including catering and audio-visual requirements.


Venue rental includes exclusive use of the venue, room set-up and standard audio-visual equipment for the duration of your booking.


If you have a confirmed event in one of the hosting spaces, you can pre-book a tour of the New Zealand Pavilion for your guests, subject to maximum numbers and availability. In order to attend an event in the pavilion, each guest requires a ticket for entry.


Please note that venue rental does not include tickets to Expo 2020 Dubai.


If you would like to reserve a table in the restaurant in conjunction with your event, your Emirates Flight Catering Event Co-ordinator will be able to assist (subject to availability and non-exclusivity).

Please Note:

  • Official venue capacities may be adjusted, subject to the current Dubai Municipality Covid-19 Guidelines.
    The alternative capacities above should be treated as indicative.

  • All precautionary measures are adhered to in line with the guidelines issued by the UAE Government.

  • The table above is an indicative based on the maximum capacity, different setups and elements will result in variation.

  • The event host has full flexibility to design different event layout while adhering to the pavilion guidelines and DTCM rules in the link above.

  • The above capacities should work as indication, please refer to the Covid-19 regulations update document to know the current rules applied for events.


Please note as per Event Guidelines, standing events are not yet permitted, next update will come out in August/September.
